New for 2026

Covenanters Coo & Ewes

The valley where our coos & ewes live has a very rich history that goes back for centuries.

What to Expect

A small village called New Luce sprang up in the valley where two bridges were built to span the river.

A church was built in 1647 and its charismatic minister called Alexander Peden became a celebrity covenanter when he was ejected from our church in 1662.

This tour will take you on a gentle stroll through the little village of New Luce in the company of one our guides.

Our guide will take you back to the 17th Century and tell you more about what became known as the Killing Times.
